Notice is hereby given as follows:
Foreign objects (nappies, plastic bags, dirt) have been discovered in the Tantyi Resivor this morning. The team is currently draining the affected reservoir. Once the reservoir has been drained we will remove the foreign objects and clean the reservoir. Residents should expect water to run down the Vergenoeg area while the team is draining the affected reservoir.
The area will be isolated and will not have water until the work has been completed.
Affected areas:
Fingo,
Scotch farm,
Ndancama,
Emsengeni,
Raglan road,
Parts of Vukani and
Ngcakeni
Makana Local Municipailty would like to caution members of the public to refrain from dumping waste and vandalising public property. This kind of behavior is not only dangerous to the people committing these unlawful acts, but to the general public as well.
