Solar Power System Installations
Like many municipalities across the country, the Municipality is experiencing a surge in the illegal installation of photovoltaic (PV) generators across all customer sectors — including residential, commercial, and industrial users.
This challenge is worsened by the absence of clear requirements, standardized systems, enforceable regulations, and appropriate tariff structures.
These unauthorized PV installations pose serious safety risks to customers, properties, and municipal staff working on the electricity network. They also negatively impact power quality and reliability, and result in significant revenue losses for the Municipality.
