15 July 2019
Dear residents
Please note that a shutdown at the James Kleynhans Water Treatment Works (JKWTW) is planned for 16 July 2019 for upgrades that are taking place at the plant. The municipality would like to assure residents that every precaution has been taken to minimise interrupted water supply to residents. More shutdowns are planned at JKWTW on the 23rd and 30th of July 2019. The municipality has, however, negotiated with the service provider that in case the planned shut down on the 16th is disrupting water supply to residents severely, the shut downs planned for the 23 and 30 July cannot go ahead. The work that is being undertaken at JKWTW is to implement phase 2 of the upgrade to JKWTW which will ultimately result in increasing water supply 20 M/L a day.
Resident are urged to use water sparingly.
