⚠️CBD ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE ⚠️
Motorists, we understand that our work is quite disruptive to the normal traffic flow, but please be patient with us. We are doing this for your own benefit and for the greater good. The level of rudeness and arrogance from some of you is really unnecessary.
Tuesday, 21 September 2021, we will be continuing with surfacing the islands and parkings in Somerset Street. We will also be cleaning rubble in Hill Street.
The Somerset-African Street intersection remains closed due to water valves that are in the process of being fixed.
In New Street there are barricaded excavations. Please continue to drive carefully there.
We caution you to drive attentively and to avoid speeding at all times as the unsurfaced areas have dangerous loose stones and gravel. ⚠️ Please watch out for the barricaded heaps of rubble in certain areas alongside the worked-on roads.
We hope that you are enjoying the newly surfaced roads.
Drive safe, stay safe.
