CBD ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Good morning all, we hope you are enjoying the surfaced sections of our roads.

16/09/2021 we are surfacing in Somerset Street. The unsurfaced sections will be barricaded for preparations tomorrow morning.

Somerset-African Street intersection remains closed due to water valves that are currently being fixed. One was installed yesterday, we are expecting the 2nd one in two weeks time.

In New Street there are barricaded excavations continue to drive cautiously there.

We caution you to drive carefully and avoid speeding at all times as the unsurfaced areas have loose stones. You will also note that there are barricaded heaps of rubble on certain areas alongside of our roads.
