ALICEDALE DAM RUNNING DRY

Dear residents

Please note that residents will have water from 5am to 8am and in the evening from 5pm to 8pm. This is due to the dam level being at 15 percent. There is only enough water in the dam for four months’ supply. This process will start on Thursday, 22 August 2019. Residents must please note that we have to ration water supply until the dam levels increase to a satisfactory level. In the meantime the municipality is going to drill boreholes to augment water supply.

It is very important that residents adhere to the water restrictions which state that residents must only use 25l/ per day per person to a maximum of four people per household.

We would like to thank everyone who is making an effort to save water and those who tirelessly report leaks. We always try our best to attend to them as quickly as possible.

Issued by the Makana Communications Office.
