Makana Local Municipality is committed to ensuring the continued safety and quality of drinking water supplied to all our communities. As part of our regulatory compliance and routine monitoring, microbiological and chemical water samples were collected across Makhanda, Alicedale, Riebeek East, and surrounding areas. These samples were analysed by accredited laboratories during February and March 2026.
