WATER UPDATE

Residents in the West should please reduce water usage urgently. Instead of 50l per day per person, the Municipality appeals to residents to reduce usage to 25l per person per day until Wednesday. The pump at Howiesonspoorr became faulty. Consequently no water is being pumped to Waainek Water Works. The Municipality is however managing the supply of water through reducing outflow from the reservoirs and water from the Lei Dam. Service providers will be attending to the second pump tomorrow and pumping will resume after that. Please note that dam levels are still at a critical low. Note that this does not affect the Eastern Side.
