Due to bad weather during the weekend, strong winds uprooted some trees breaking 6 municipal power lines at Howiesonspoort Dam, that affected the pumping system and we are  unable to pump. Our technicians are busy at the plant trying to restore power but due to bad weather and slippery road uphill they are experiencing some difficulties. The whole of Grahamstown is affected only the CBD area has water supply.

We are doing the best we can to restore power so that water services can be able to run smoothly again.
